DIY stress bottle

It can be helpful to play with a stress bottle when feeling overwhelmed, looking at the particles that move along the water. Why? Because it gives your brain something to focus on. You can give it a shake when you're stressed and watch the glitter sink down. I made one myself and I do think that it's beneficial for me to relax. What I like to do is to take deep breaths while moving it around and just looking at all the shine that glitter gives.

Here's how to make it. You will need:

  • Hot water
  • Glitter glue (or clear glue and glitter)
  • A mixing bowl
  • A tool to mix with
  • An empty, clean water bottle
  • A funnel
  • Food colouring (optional)

All you have to do is grab your mixing bowl and add hot water. Then, mix in the glitter glue or clear glue and glitter until everything is evenly combined (with colour if you wish). It will look like a pool of glitter soup, which is what we're looking for. Using the funnel, pour your mixture into your bottle and put the lid on the bottle and make sure it's secure.

NOTE: Make sure that you wait for the water to cool a bit before you pour it so you don't accidentally burn yourself.
